The American Legion family consists of 4 different branches.

Legionnaires

Legionnaires are members that have served at least one day of active duty since December 7, 1941 and were honorably discharged or who are still serving active military duty honorably.

Auxiliary

The American Legion Auxiliary is made up of the male and female spouses, grandmothers, mothers, sisters, and direct and adopted female descendants of members of The American Legion.

Sons of the American Legion

SAL members include males of all ages whose parents or grandparents served in the U.S. military and were eligible for American Legion membership.

American Legion Riders

Riders must hold membership in and be in good standing with The American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary or Sons of The American Legion.
