Glen was a Past Commander of Sons of the American Legion Squadron 365 and back in the day (“BTM – before Tom Moore”), Glenn did all the cooking during the NFL football games on Sunday afternoon. His Burritos were fantastic! We will all miss him.Post 365 Auxiliary Secretary/Treasurer Karen Bowman kicks off the Annual Wreaths Across America Campaign. There is a signup sheet in the Clubroom where you can order your Wreath(s). This year’s Theme is: REMEMBER ME “We often speak of “our service members” as though they are one unified group. A great event every year.Post 365 Commander Tom Moore addresses the membership and passes along information on upcoming events. Tom also read a letter from Glen Smith’s wife. She wanted to thank both the Legion and VFW for the Celebration of Life Event for Glenn.Tom announced the Certificate of Appreciation that was to be presented to Kathleen Garcia. Kathleen was “in house” but opted to forgo the presentation in order to get the clubroom ready for the impending rush of thirsty members as the meeting was about to close. Always thinking of the members, that’s Kathleen for you. In addition to all her other attributes, Kathleen is the reigning Hula Hoop champion, with a record setting 1 minute 55 seconds of uninterrupted hip-swiveling.
Foundation For Women Warriors August 15, 2026
Cyrinthia Richards was a Guest Speaker at our General Meeting on Saturday. She spoke of the many programs available to women veterans.
Women Veterans are the fastest growing population of homeless victims. The program enhances the personal and economic wellbeing of women veterans and addresses the growing needs of the increasing population of military women transitioning to civilian life.
Boys & Girls Club Back-to-School Event, August 2026

Over 600 Backpacks were distributed to students.
More than 700 meals served
50 free haircuts for the kids and more than 400 Hygiene Kits distributed

Mike Stevenson outdid himself with the construction of a new Cashiers Stand and Display Cabinet for the post. For the past 3 months, Mike has been busy in his workshop designing, measuring, cutting, hammering, glueing and the finished product was the newest addition to the post; a beautiful new Cashiers Stand and Display Cabinet, and with the leftover wood he put together a new podium. Thanks, Mike for all your hard work.
