Post 365 General Meeting March 15, 2025
Post 365 Historian Paul Kruger addresses the membership with a “One For The Ages” history lesson. The “SPQR” graphic on Paul’s T-shirt refers to the Latin phrase “Senatus Populusque Romanus,” The Senate and People of Rome”, and a symbol of the Roman Republic and its government. The March monthly meeting of American Legion Post 365 fortuitously happened to fall on March 15th, a date in history that coincides with The Ides of March, (Ceasar, Brutus et al.) and the 106th birthday of The American Legion. The Legion had a much better day than Ceasar.Shakespeare & Krueger — “Bonum opus facis, Paul!”Mary and Michelle, representing The Dane Foundation made a presentation at the meeting. The mission of The Dane Foundation is to provide for the unique needs of individuals with physical and developmental disabilities. Superbowl at Dykes House February 9, 2025
Former Post 365 Commander Chip Dykes and wife Zaida held their 39th Superbowl Party. As usual it was a “Bucket List” event! And to make even more perfect, Chip’s beloved Eagles prevailed over the Kansas City Chiefs, and I’m being polite when I say “prevailed”
Final!!!
Michael J. Gwynn, wife Elizabeth share some time with host Chip Dykes. Did Chip really paint the eves of his house “Philly Green” or was that Photoshopped??
